About Vibe Crime
A field journal for defenders
Vibe Crime is a small field journal focused on the human layer of cybercrime in the age of autonomous AI agents. Our goal is to make a new term understandable, then make it actionable for defenders.
Who it is for
- Security and fraud teams dealing with impersonation, business email compromise, and social engineering.
- Product and platform teams that moderate accounts, marketplaces, and customer support workflows.
- Researchers and policymakers tracking AI-enabled abuse.
What we publish
Definitions, patterns, and defensive guidance. We avoid enabling detail. When we discuss tactics, we focus on what defenders can measure and control.

Sources we cite
Vibe Crime is a curated, defender-first resource. When we reference external reporting or research, we prefer primary sources such as vendor research papers, official threat intelligence reports, and major security publications.

We avoid naming individuals as originators of the term. Instead, we cite where the term appears in published research and reporting.
